Our Scouts entered 4 teams in the annual Malvern Challenge competition. 3,500 Scouts, Guides and Leaders attended the weekend, all fed by the army - impressive!

The Saturday consisted of checkpoint hike across Cleeve Hill, near Winchcombe. Eight checkpoints had to be visited where various challenges were undertaken for points - such as abseiling, crazy t-shirt swapping game, mapping challenge, leaky water tube, gorilla quiz, rifle shooting, mini olympics, and first aid.

Saturday night was the talent show and party, and on Sunday was the Fayre - 100's of rides and activities.

The weather was fantastic, the activities were fantastic, the food was impressive,  - the toilets were unpleasant......

 All in all another great weekend - they all want to go again next year!!

 Our best placed team was 119th out of 460 teams - not a bad result for first timers!

Group  Camp dates have now been announced - 17th-19th September 2010. This will be the second "Frank Parker Camp" in honor of our late Group President, and we plan to make this a regular bi-annual event in September. The camp will take place at Boyd Field Scout Camp Site in Henlow. The event will be open to all sections - Cubs and Scouts camping, with Beavers visiting on the Saturday.

Please keep this weekend free - we would like to see as many of our 130 membership there as possible!!

We will need a catering crew - any volunteers!?!
